Our daffodils are arriving!

Today we went outside (braving the cold) and did our first measurement of our daffodils... they began popping up a couple weeks ago! We will continue to measure them once a week and track their growth on a bar graph. We are doing this with a program called "Planting a Promise" by Jim Weise (one of my former teachers!). This will help us tie in some learning outcomes from both science and math! The students were very excited to go out and measure how much their daffodils have grown... some were only 1 cm, but some have sprouted up to about 6 cm! We're all hoping that this very cold weather doesn't impact their growth too much!
